Munaf Patel made his test debut against England at Mohali on 9 March 2006. He took 7 wickets in first innings, while 4 wickets in second innings. In the test series against West Indies in 2005-06 he proved that he was the fastest bowler in Indian Cricket Team, with the speed of 85 miles/hour regularly and produced the pace of ball over 90 miles/hour.
He made his ODI debut in ICC Champions Trophy against England on 3 April 2006. Munaf Patel took 3 wickets for 18 runs and become match winner for India. He played an important part in India’s victory in 2011 World Cup. In first World Cup match against Bangladesh he took 4 wickets. In the match against England he dismissed Kevin Pietersen. In the Semi-Final against Pakistan he also played an important part to win that match. Munaf Patel was also played in Final match against Sri Lanka.
